University of McGill Canada MasterCard Scholarship is now open for eligible African students and students in other continents alike for 2021/2022 academic year.

This scholarship opportunity is especially aimed at sponsoring outstanding, community-driven students to avail them the opportunity to attend university, especially those who would have otherwise not had the opportunity to attend university. This program gears at fostering the development of ‘the leaders of tomorrow’ the future of the sub-Saharan African leaders, the world’s future leaders, and future entrepreneurs of the world.

Application Deadline

Owing to contingencies, logistics, and preparations that have to be on the ground before the scholarship will take off, the scholarship deadline has been scheduled to be on the 31st of January, 2022. All interested applicants are hereby advised to submit their applications online on/before the stated deadline.

Host Institution

The host institution for this particular scholarship is McGill university in Canada. The institution is located at 845 sherbrooks St. W, Montreal, Quebec H3A 0G4, Canada. McGill University was established in 1821 by Royal Charter as a Research University. The University has the name of James McGill a Montreal Merchant that originated from Scotland who founded the university college.

Degree Level

For the scholarship the degree is Matersthough one can still obtain other degrees from the university ranging from ;Bs.C, B. Eng. B. Art, Masters, PhD, and other degrees.

 Scholarship Value

Successful applicants of the Master Card Foundation Scholarship at McGill University Canada will be offered full financial, social, and academic funds during their education and even during the post-graduate studies in the university.

Duration of Scholarship

The scholarship is designed to last for a period of two years

Eligibility

  • One who has not completed any graduate course
  • One who is selected by a professor recognized by MasterCard Foundation Partner University.
  • If one is nominated by a serving professor at the McGill Professor
  • One is admissible to one of the programs at McGill University
  • One who is a citizen of the above-mentioned sub-Saharan African countries or has lived long in those countries.
  • Have recorded an exceptional or outstanding service to your school or community.
  • One who is willing to return to his or her country upon completion of the course.

Application Information

  • Owing to the fact that applicants of the MasterCard Foundation Scholarship Program is not expected to pay $107.50 application fee, they are therefore mandated to follow a special application process.
